Young Adult Missionary Ministry
The Young Adult Missionary Ministry is comprised of individuals between the ages of 18 to 35 years old, whose main focus is youth and young adult outreach. This ministry is dedicated to serving God through aiding the youth and young adults of both the Hidden Valley community and Mayfield, and providing a healthy, spiritual based social outlet for its members as well as the surrounding community. This is accomplished by hosting annual clothing and canned food drives, supporting both local families by providing holiday dinners, clothing and holiday gifts for the children, as well as local outreach facilities like The Relatives (a crisis counseling center for teens), sponsoring yearly school supply drives for three (CMS) Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (Hidden Valley Elementary, J.T. Williams Middle and West Charlotte High School), and hosting an annual event called “Friday Nite Live.” FNL is way of creatively reaching young souls for Christ with such events as youth panel discussions and dramatic stage plays, etc. This ministry also has quarterly social events designed so members can just have fun and fellowship together.
